COBALT GALLERY SPACE RENTAL INFORMATION 2010

COBALT GALLERY is dedicated to promote the appreciation and production of quality art. COBALT GALLERY provides an intimate and casual environment for artists to display their work in either group or solo exhibitions.

Submissions can be in the form of slides, prints, photographs, etc., however preferably by appointment with originals. All materials will be returned. The artwork will be selected on artistic merit and presentation by COBALT GALLERY.

COBALT GALLERY wall space consists of a white wall 23’ x 10’(height), plus a blue wall which is 6’ x 8’(height) and part of the front window.

Installation day is the first Friday of the exhibition month or if necessary, Saturday a.m. COBALT GALLERY will oversee the installation.

For optional opening Saturday reception, wine and beer to be served requires a special occasions liquor permit from the LLCBO. A smart serve person will also be necessary at a nominal fee.

COBALT GALLERY will supply food and non-alcoholic beverages.

Duration of the exhibition will be approx. 20 days from the day of opening, with show closing on the fourth Sunday. The show will be taken down and removed by the artist. The artist need not “sit the show”. Someone will be in the gallery on all open days (Wednesday through Saturday 11am to 5pm and Sundays noon to 4pm or by appointment at convenience of the client). These hours may vary. Arrangements will be made at the time of the booking.

Rental of the exhibition space is $700 (plus GST). A non-refundable booking fee of $100 (plus GST) is required. A deposit of $300 (plus GST) is required eight weeks prior to installation with the balance of $300 (plus GST) due on the day of installation.

COBALT GALLERY charges 10% on all artwork sold. This amount covers any fees for the services when clients purchase with VISA, MC, AMEX, debit or cheque, handling, packaging and arranging pick up or delivery of artwork sold.
